Shade, a breeze and a browser tab

Four free browser worlds
for lazy afternoons by the sea

Some island afternoons are too hot for anything but a long, slow plan. These four picks load in an ordinary browser tab and give you something to tend between errands: a medieval village with greedy neighbours, a young city along the Nile, a wartime world map waiting on your orders and a farm that turns harvests into produce. Joining each is free, and all of them carry on quietly while you are elsewhere.

Tribal Wars 2 key art
01 · Medieval village conquest

Tribal Wars 2

One modest medieval village grows into a walled stronghold: timber, clay and iron pay for new buildings, the barracks drill spearmen and horsemen, and the wall keeps raiders at bay. Worlds last for months, and tribes of players time their attacks and defences together across one shared map.

Competitive planners who relish long campaigns and close teamwork.

Anocris key art
02 · Ancient Egyptian city building

Anocris

A settlement on the Nile turns into a busy city as you lay out farms, workshops and monuments on the edge of the desert. The economy leads the way: steady production pays for an army, and patient expansion outlasts any rush.

Good for
Patient builders who like to balance the books before marching anywhere.

Call of War key art
03 · WW2 world-map strategy

Call of War

Choose a nation on a Second World War map and steer it through a conflict that unfolds in real time: raise factories, research tanks and aircraft, then send land, air and naval units against rival players. Diplomacy and coalitions decide a round just as much as the fighting does.

Good for
Strategy fans who enjoy maps, supply lines and a dash of diplomacy.

My Free Farm 2 key art
04 · Farming and production sim

My Free Farm 2

Crop fields, animal pens and processing sheds all feed one another on a farm that keeps getting bigger. Harvests are turned into finished goods, standing orders give you something to aim for, and a small plot gradually spreads across a wider patch of countryside.

Good for
Sim fans who enjoy fine-tuning a production loop without any rush.

How the free part works on these four

Every one of the four lets you register for free and play for months without spending; building, farming, research and battles all belong to the free game.

On top of that, each studio runs a shop of paid extras: premium currency, timer skips, decorative items. Many players ignore them entirely, and most studio account pages let a household cap or block spending.

Setting up on a hot first afternoon

Each title has a button that launches the publisher's own page in a separate tab. Sign up on that page using your email, and a few minutes later the village, city, nation or farm is yours to run.

Each game starts with a short guided tutorial. Finish every step of it, because it walks through resources, building menus and teamwork one piece at a time.

Fitting play between market errands

Closing the tab pauses nothing. Buildings complete, crops ripen, troops march and production keeps going, so looking in once after breakfast and once after dinner usually keeps pace.

Brief visits are for collecting, lining up the next jobs and answering teammates. Keep longer sittings for big calls such as an attack plan, a new district or a rebuilt production chain.

Protecting your account

Login details live with the studio behind each game, so enter them nowhere except its genuine website. Never recycle one password across these titles, and say yes whenever a studio offers an extra verification step at login.

Real support teams will never ask you for a password. A stranger promising bonus currency if you share your login is trying to steal the account, so walk away.

How these four earned a spot on the crate

  • Any up-to-date desktop browser runs all four, so you can begin without fetching an installer.
  • Registration is free, every core feature stays open to non-payers, and extras remain purely your call.
  • Villages, farms and front lines advance while the tab is shut, so even a brief look moves things on.
  • Each comes from a long-standing studio that still updates it for a large and busy community.

No. A desktop browser handles every one; the official phone apps exist as a bonus, never as a must.

Yes. Accounts are free and the whole game can be enjoyed without paying; the in-game store is entirely optional.

No. Separate independent studios own and operate them; our buttons just send you to each official site.

No. They come from four different studios, so each one needs its own free sign-up.

Construction, harvests, production and troop movements all continue, so popping in a couple of times daily is plenty.

My Free Farm 2 is the gentlest, with crops, animals and orders at your own pace. Anocris is a calm builder too, while Tribal Wars 2 and Call of War are more competitive.

Yes. Tribal Wars 2 has tribes, Anocris has alliances and Call of War has coalitions. My Free Farm 2 is mostly a solo farm, played in a world full of other farmers.
